The trainees of SM Entertainment are call as SM Rookies.
SM Rookies is a pre-debut team of SM-trainees who are under the training of S.M. Entertainment and have been launched publicly through various promotional materials and activities. The trainees also had been promoted before their debut because the company want to make them famous first before their debut day. There are also trainees that is not in SM Rookies.
This is needed for them to make fans attract to them and that can make the markets of their album and also their official stuff to be sold in very big amounts like their seniors. Some of the trainees are going to debut very soon in this year, which call as NCT (Neo Culture Technology). Their teasers are also had been posted in Youtube to get lots of viewers before their debut days. The trainees under SM Rookies are :-
